El Centro Nacional de Conservación, Restauración y Museología convoca a su 7mo. Congreso Internacional que se celebrará en su sede del Convento de Santa Clara, ubicada en el Centro Histórico de La Habana Vieja, del 10 al 14 de abril de 2006.
Podrán participar como ponentes u observadores: conservadores, restauradores, historiadores, arqueólogos, arquitectos, economistas, sociólogos, ingenieros, químicos, biólogos y especialistas de otras disciplinas interesados en los temas del Congreso.
Presentación de trabajos
Los resúmenes de ponencias y posters, con un máximo de 250 palabras, deben enviarse, junto a la solicitud de inscripción, por correo electrónico, en disquetes de 3½, CD o DVD, en Microsoft Word 97 ó 2000, o por correo aéreo antes del 31 de enero de 2006. Especificar si se trata de ponencia o póster.
En el caso de las ponencias, luego de recibir la nota de aceptación, se enviará el texto completo de las mismas por vía aérea, también en disquetes de 3½, CD o DVD, o por correo electrónico, en formato de 8½ x 11, en Arial 12, 30 líneas y dos espacios, con una extensión máxima de 15 cuartillas, incluidos gráficos e imágenes. Además, las imágenes deberán adjuntarse separadas del texto y en formato JPG. Las ponencias impresas podrán enviarse por correo o entregarse durante el Evento.
La exposición de los trabajos será de 15 minutos como máximo, más 10 minutos de preguntas y discusión.
Los posters se entregarán al efectuarse la acreditación, diseñados dentro de un formato de 80 cm de ancho x 100 cm de alto, reservando un rectángulo de 25 cm de ancho x 10 cm de alto en la esquina inferior derecha para colocar una tarjeta de identificación que será entregada para el montaje.
Desde el envío de los resúmenes de los trabajos, y con el fin de confeccionar el programa de las actividades diarias, deberán especificarse los medios audiovisuales que se requieran para su exposición, contamos con:
Proyector para diapositivas / 35 mm
Equipamiento para videos / VHS-NTSC3.58
- Retroproyector
- Computadoras para Power Point y Data-Show.
En este último caso, deberá coordinarse con el área de Informática del Evento desde el momento mismo de la acreditación.
El uso de los medios deberá ajustarse al tiempo asignado para la exposición.
Los idiomas oficiales serán el español y el inglés.
Precio de Inscripción
El precio de inscripción será de $100.00 CUC y de $85.00 CUC para los acompañantes, quienes tendrán un programa opcional de visitas y recorridos fuera de las actividades técnicas del Evento. Las inscripciones efectuadas después del 31 de enero tendrán un precio de $150.00 CUC y de $100.00 CUC los acompañantes.
La inscripción incluye un Certificado de Participación, el libro de resúmenes, los cócteles y las visitas técnicas, así como la publicación de las ponencias y posters que se editarán posteriormente al Evento.
Los estudiantes de pre-grado abonarán $50.00 CUC, debiendo presentar el documento que los acredite como tales.
Los participantes nacionales pagarán la misma cuota de inscripción en Moneda Nacional.

7th International Congress "Cultural Heritage: Context & Conservation", which will take place from April 10th to 14th, 2006, in the Convent of Santa Clara de Asís, located in Old Havana Historical Center, World Heritage Site.
Participants
There will be able to participate both as chairpersons or observers:
Specialists in Conservation, Restoration, and Chemistry; Historians, Archeologists, Architects, Economists, Sociologists, Engineers, Biologists and all those specialists who are interested In the topics of the Congress.
Presentation of the Works
The summaries, with no more than 250 words, can be mailed in 3 1/2 flex discs, Cds or DVDs, in Microsoft Word 97, 2000 or 2003 format, or attached via e-mail also in one of those 3 formats.
Once your summary is received, and after a previous analysis, the Organizing Board will notify whether your work was accepted or not.
The presentations can be written in 8 1/2 x 11", 30 lines sheet format, with a separation of 2 spaces between lines, using Arial 12. Each presentation should not outnumber the 15 pages (including graphics and pictures).
The lecture of the presentation should last 15 minutes at most, plus 10 extra minutes for debating and discussion.
The posters must be delivered in the moment of the registration and can be designed within a format of 80 cm wide x 100 cm high, reserving a square of 25 cm (wide) x 10 cm (high) in the lower right corner so as to place an identification card which is going to be delivered for the exposition.
Audiovisual Means
It would be very useful, for an optimal arrangement of the Congress agenda, that you specify which audiovisual means and supports are more appropriate for your presentation. This can be sent together with the work's summary.
We offer the following appliances:
- 35 mm slide projector.
- VCR (VHS-NTSC3.58 only).
- Retro-projector.
- PC for Power Point and Data-show. (*)
(*) In the case of the PC, you should make the proper arrangements since the very moment of the registration.
The use of all means should be adjusted within the exposition time.
Registration Fees
The registration will cost $100.00 CUC for the participants, and $85.00 CUC in the case of the attendants, who will enjoy of an optional agenda of tours and visits while the presentations and other technical activities related to the Congress are taking place.
The registration includes the summary book, cocktails and technical visits, and also the publication of the presentation and the posters that will be edited after the Event.
Junior students must bring the proper documentation validating that they are pupils; they should pay $50.00 CUC.
Cuban participants' fee will be $100.00, National Currency.
Those who are interested in participating in the Congress should fill and send the application forms, where must appear some personal information and the summary of the work, clearly specifying whether it is going to be a presentation or a poster.
Once you receive the notification of acceptance (in the case of the presentation), the full text must be sent via air (in 3 1/2 flex disks, Cds or DVDs) or e-mailed before January 31, 2006, with the images and pictures in JPG format, separated from the main text.
